Fifth day of the fifth Lunar Month
The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese Calendar. For thousands of years, the festival has been marked by eating Zong Zi (glutinous rice wrapped to form a pyramid using bamboo or reed leaves) and Racing Dragon Boats.
People would hang Cattail and Mugwort Leaves on their doors to drive away mosquitoes and other insects, bless for peace.Children would wear a special hand catenary,be made of five colors of cotton lines, pray for health.
We will have a three-day holiday to celebrate it with relatives and friends.
Hope people all over the world can have a peace and happy life along with our joys.
